Reading at Home is Essential
All 4th graders are asked to read every night for homework.. It is important for students to practice their new skills outside of school to anchor them.. Finding a "good fit" book is important so that it will foster developing skills and promote confidence in reading. Let a teacher know if you need help finding a "good fit" book or check out the scholastic book wizard to see if your child is reading a "good fit" book. Get your facts right! Math facts!
Math facts are essential in mastering the 4th grade curriculum. If students do not have these facts they fall at risk in getting behind in math at school and in life. Students need to know their basic facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately.
